The Sandy Nicoll team were the first to complete their fixtures. Playing with injuries and the knowledge that a peel would secure Sandy's first Wingate Rosebowl it was a nervy game. The opposition, Team Aberdein, were desperate to take their first win and all played a good game. A measure in the fifth end proved pivotal and allowed Team Nicoll to relax a bit and come away with 8 - 3 win. This final scoreline did not fairly represent the game which was much closer.
This makes Sandy uncatchable so, Congratulations to Sandy, Graeme, John Good and Frances Donald.
The other game saw both teams playing without their skips, Simon Kesley kept Dave Munro's team on point by taking the first 6 ends. Elinor, skipping for James Logan took a 3 in the last end to bring some respectability to the score.
The final fixtures will see Willie, James and Dave slugging it out for the podium positions.
