With Christmas heading towards us in a rush and the temperatures rising (?), we see our season reach it's two thirds point with our competitions still wide open-ish. Both competitions are poised so that any one of three teams could win.
WINGATE
James Logan leads the way but is only one game clear of Dave Munro's squad, while Willie Kerr could take the title if there was a complete melt down amongst the front runners. Only James Pate's rink is unable to lift the silverware. Although James currently sits at the bottom of the table Willie is only an uncomfortable one game ahead in the battle for the wooden spoon. With both ends of the table open, there is still all to play for.
RENNIE
Andy McDiarmid's team, in a bid to return to the Wingate League, are sitting in a strong position with a two game cushion and only three games to play. Locked in a tussle with 50% win loss records sit Simon and 'New Boy' Andy Aberdein. Their final game could be decisive and decide which of them could challenge Andy McD. Marooned at the bottom sits John Good's rink, who must win at least two of their last three games if they are to avoid relegation.
