Rennie at 50%

With the Rennie reaching the half way point, we see that father and daughter Kerr lead our 2 competitions (Temporarily anyway).
Ms Kerr and her team took on her fellow 'youngsters'.  With team Munro being one player short and Rowena having drafted in Sandy as a sub, it looked like it was going to be a long afternoon for Karen but nobody told her that !  Leading 5 - 4 going into the last end she was pipped by two shots.  The final score was 6 - 5 to Rowena, leaving her team unbeaten through the first round and leading the table with Karen holding third place, Team Morgan splits the two 'young' rinks.
Meanwhile the two winless teams also had an interesting clash.  Things were looking good for Team Pate when they took a 6 - 1 lead after four ends, then the Aberdein Squad decided to turn up.  Sitting with a 3 Andy played a perfect last draw to take a 4 in the fifth end and then stole a 1 in the sixth to tie the game.  With 0.00 minutes on the clock, Andy tried to shake hands until his third pointed out that the bell had not yet gone, so a final end commenced (on a sort of double or quits basis).  With  James's last stone to play, he faced an open centre line strike for the win.  Unfortunately his stone, having run fairly straight from the previous two ends decided to curl. The hit was successful but rolled too far and left Andy with two shots and an unlikely 8 - 6 win.
There is still all to play for in the second round.
