James Logan |
Although the two games were heading in very different directions, after the fourth end James Logan's teams had an aggregate lead of 1 shot (the individual scores being 0 - 6 and 6 - 1). Luck was definitely not going with the president and it wasnt until the sixth end that he managed to 'get Granny onto the bus'. By this point, however, it looked like the only way he was going to get his name on the trophy was if the Secretary got the engraving instructions muddled up (again).
The final result showed a win to James Logan, the Vice President aided by Dave Munro by an aggregate score of 13 - 8 over John Good and James Pate. (The individual scores being 1 - 8 and 7 - 5). This is the first time that James has won this trophy since 1997/98.
The game was followed by an enjoyable dinner at the rink.
