Shelagh Main regained the President Cup in the final year of her reign.
Despite Vice President Simon being delayed in Birmingham his rink, skipped by James Logan, beat the President by seven shots to four, however the President chose her depute, James Pate, wisely as he proceeded to beat Willie Kerr's rink by a margin of seven shots to two. The aggregate result saw Shelagh winning the cup by an overall seven shots to nine.
A very pleasant and convivial supper was held afterwards and Shelagh made a short thank you speech emphasising how good it was to have had George Playfair back on the ice again.
